Umrah Visa Agreement

The Saudi online tourist visa was launched to promote international tourism in the kingdom. However, eVisa is not valid for Hajj travel and is only available for tourism and umrah purposes. Another additional requirement for the Hajj visa is the allocation of pilgrimage services (guides, Zamzam water agents, accommodation tents in Mina and Arafat and transport costs) to ensure the success of the trip by paying the corresponding fees. Travellers are advised to check with a Saudi consulate in their country for an updated rate list. Recipients must apply for the Saudi visa for hajj and Umrah via a simplified electronic system. However, travellers must apply through a licensed travel agency, which is familiar with the visa procedure. It is necessary to present to the travel agency a letter from the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia confirms that they have fulfilled all the conditions to help travel on pilgrimage. Nevertheless, visa applicants from Saudi Arabia for Umrah must ensure that the validity period does not exceed the last day of Ramadan. Umrah visa holders cannot pass The Eid-ul-Fitr in the country and must leave before the end of Ramadan. Guests travelling with Hajj, Umrah, visitor visas and tourist visas must strictly follow the following instructions, in accordance with Saudi government rules: Visitors to Umrah can receive their eVisa online independently or apply for a special Umrah visa at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The Saudi EVisa is granted exclusively for tourist purposes or to carry out a conversion and is not considered a work visa. Women and children must be accompanied by their husband/father or male parent (Mahram) and proof of relationship is required for the issuance of the Umrah visa or hajj. It may be a marriage certificate for a woman or a birth certificate containing the name of both parents for a child. The Mahram is due to travel to Saudi Arabia on the same flight as his wife and children. Pilgrims can apply for an electronic visa online from their homes, provided they have access to a reliable Internet connection. Otherwise, they can apply through an approved travel agency that is familiar with the visa application procedure so that the travel document can be approved. This includes providing a number of supporting documents. The visa requirement for Umrah and Hajj adds that all agencies processing Hajj visa applications must complete and sign the attached contract issued by the Haj Ministry before presenting passports for hajj visas to the embassy.

The treaty sets out the rights and obligations of the Agency and the pilgrim. One of the most common reasons to visit Saudi Arabia is a religious pilgrimage to Mecca, Hijaz. In addition to the new electronic visa for tourists, there are two specific types of Saudi Arabia visa for religious travel available, the hajj visa, and the Umrah visa. However, the new tourist eVisa can also be used for the Umrah pilgrimage, which facilitates the process. The signed contract is a precondition for obtaining a hajj visa and non-compliance with a hajj visa or violation of any of its conditions is considered fraud against the pilgrim and will result in the withdrawal of the privileges of the Agency for the processing of hajj visas. The Umrah visa requires all visa holders to have insurance coverage for any stay in the kingdom. But this should not be arranged independently of the pilgrim.
